Hello, I'm Sofia
Project manager. Parent. Expat living in Madrid, Spain.
A few years back I moved here with my family. What began as a temporary assignment gradually became a new chapter of life overseas.
How It Started
Moving to Spain wasn’t part of the grand plan. As with many international relocations, it started with a job opportunity and soon grew into something much bigger.
The early months were demanding — new systems, new routines, new expectations. Routine tasks seemed more complicated than expected.
The Adjustment Period
There was culture shock, uncertainty, and plenty of hands-on learning. Yet gradually, routines took shape. We found places that suited us, met other families, and began building something that felt steady.
Why I Built Linen Orbit Craft
Most online sources were either corporate relocation tips or shallow tourism content. What was missing was a candid, everyday family viewpoint.
This site exists to bridge that gap — practical advice drawn from real life in Spain.
What This Site Is (And Isn't)
This site is:
- Practical insights from living in Spain
- Centered on family life and daily realities
- Updated whenever real changes occur
This site isn't:
- A resource from a tourism authority
- A platform for sponsored reviews
- An ordinary travel blog
Looking Ahead
Our stay in Spain continues, and so does the learning journey. As long as the information remains useful, I’ll keep recording what we uncover.
If you have questions about family life in Madrid or anywhere in Spain, please don't hesitate to contact us.
Best regards,
